Diabetes, Medicare & Your Feet

Are you on Medicare and have diabetes?

Medicare (Part B) will cover 80% of the cost of one pair of extra depth shoes and three pairs of heat molded inserts of three pairs of custom fabricated inserts. If you are covered by both Medicare and Medicaid, there is NO COST to you. If you have secondary insurance, there may be NO COST.

If your Medicare coverage is through a managed care program, and you meet the criteria, authorization and a prescription from your physician is necessary for complete coverage.

Property fitting, comfortable shoes are your best protection from amputation and other foot problems. We will evaluate and measure your feet. If you require custom-molded shoes, a mold of your foot can be made.
