To Our Office
The staff of the A Step Ahead Foot & Ankle Centers are dedicated
to providing excellence in foot & ankle health care. Our new facilities have
been designed to provide you with the utmost in comfort and convenience. The A
Step Ahead
Foot & Ankle Centers utilizes in-house x-ray services, eliminating the extra
expense and inconvenience of having to send you elsewhere for these diagnostic
services.
We are here to serve our patients! We appreciate your comments and suggestions
regarding our treatment, office procedures and staff. Welcome!
Podiatric
Medicine
A
doctor of Podiatric Medicine is trained to treat all ailments of the foot, ankle
and lower leg. This includes:
Flat feet, high arches, heel pain, bunions and
hammertoes.
Ankle sprains, fractures and chronic pain.
Nail problems including fungal infections, ingrown nails and thickened
nails.
Infant deformities such as club foot, flat feet, intoeing and other
congenital deformities.
Sports injuries and prevention.
Nerve problems such as neuromas, peripheral neuropathy and nerve
entrapments.
Skin problems like athletes foot and other dermatoses.

If
you need to speak with a doctor regarding your foot and/or ankle condition,
please call the office number anytime. During business hours, the doctor will,
most likely, need to return your call, so please leave a number where you can be
reached. The doctor will return your call as soon as he can.
Fees
& Payments
In
order to control costs, payment is expected at the time services are performed.
If you are unable to do so, please discuss your situation with the office
manager so that special arrangements can be made. We will make every effort to
accommodate unusual circumstances that make your financial obligations difficult
to fulfill.
The
fees for evaluation and treatment vary depending upon the complexity of your
condition and the treatment required.
If
you have any questions regarding your treatment, your account or our office
policies, please phone during business hours. We will see that you are referred
to the staff person that is most qualified to answer your questions.
Insurance
Your
insurance contract is made between you and your insurance company. Insurance
policies often do not provide full payment of medical costs. Payment of your
account is your
responsibility.
A
completed form for you to submit to your insurance carrier will be given to you
at the completion of your visit. This may be attached directly to your
individual insurance forms.
We
participate in many insurance programs. If we participate with your plan, we
will bill the insurance carrier directly and you will be responsible for
co-payments, deductibles and non-covered services. Insurance plans are changing
rapidly so please call our office if you have questions about our participation
with your particular insurance plan.
Referrals
You
are responsible for obtaining a referral if it is required from your insurance.
If a referral is not received, you are financially responsible for charges occurred
for that date of service.
Finance
& Other Charges
A
finance charge, 15% annually and 1.25% monthly, will be assessed on any unpaid
balance 60 days after the date of billing.
